Lester B Goes to London!

Our first five days were full of all that London has to offer.  Some of the highlights are: Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, The Imperial War Museum, The London Eye and St. Paul’s Cathedral.  We toured the historic Globe theatre where we were lucky enough to meet and interact with an actor from the company. A tour of Harry Potter at Warner Bros studios was an exciting experience.  An overnight in Stratford allowed us to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and explore the historical town of Oxford. On our return to the city, we were able to visit the Museum of London and the Tower Bridge.  We also enjoyed three plays: The Play that Went Wrong, The Follies of Mrs Rich and The Comedy of the Bank Robbery. The last play was performed in a theatre built in the underground. This was to facilitate the motto “the play must go on” during the bombings of WWII.   The food was British fare; nothing like fish and chips in London. It was a memorable and educational trip for all!
